Ken Morton Obituary, Death Cause – It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of a beloved member of the Toolern Vale Community, Ken Morton, who left us on Thursday, September 7th. Ken’s departure has left a void in our hearts and a profound sense of loss in our tight-knit community. Ken Morton was a dedicated and long-time resident of Toolern Vale, a place he called home and served with unwavering commitment. He was a true community member, always ready to lend a helping hand and roll up his sleeves to make a difference wherever he was needed.

Ken’s contributions to our community were truly remarkable. He served as a proud member of the Toolern Vale Fire Brigade, even rising to the role of 4th Lieutenant during the devastating Ash Wednesday fires. He also played a pivotal role as the President of the Toolern Vale School Council and remained a School Council Member for many years. His dedication extended to the Toolern Vale Country Fair Committee, where he worked tirelessly to raise funds for the School, Fire Brigade, Kindergarten, and Tennis Club during the 1980s. Ken was the backbone of the committee, managing the accounting and bookkeeping with meticulous care.

Ken’s diligence, hard work, and unwavering support for the Fire Brigade and our community will be forever appreciated and remembered. Even after he and his wife moved to a new home in Eynesbury, Ken continued to maintain a keen interest in the local area. During this difficult time, we extend our deepest sympathy to Ken’s beloved wife, June, and their children, Sharon, Bradley, and Scott (a current Toolern Vale Fire Brigade Member), as well as their son and daughters-in-law, Darren, Dianne, and Melanie. Ken was also an adored presence in the lives of his nine Grandchildren. Though Ken may no longer be in our presence, his legacy and the countless lives he touched will continue to resonate throughout our community. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten, as his contributions to so many aspects of life in Toolern Vale remain a testament to his enduring spirit. Rest peacefully, Ken, knowing that you are deeply loved and will be remembered with gratitude and fondness by the community you so selflessly served.
